Higher Ground’s Organisational Training programme is a monthly series of training and development opportunities designed to support organisations and the people behind them.

Each month, we aim to bring experienced trainers and professionals to Higher Ground to deliver practical sessions that can help organisations develop their teams, strengthen their skills and build their capacity.

The programme is open to charities, CICs, community and voluntary organisations, grassroots groups and other organisations, both in Luton and further afield.

Whether you’re looking to develop your staff and volunteers, strengthen your organisation or build new skills, our monthly training programme provides an opportunity to learn, develop and connect.

Emergency First Aid at Work

Highfield Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)

Equip yourself and your organisation with essential first aid skills and the confidence to respond in an emergency.

Our first Organisational Training session is a one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course, specifically designed for individuals who are to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace.

What will the course cover?

The course includes:

– The roles and responsibilities of a first-aider

– Assessing an emergency situation safely

– CPR and AED

– First aid for a choking casualty

– Shock

– Burns and scalds

– Bleeding

– Minor injuries

Who is it for?

This qualification is designed for individuals who are to become emergency first-aiders in the workplace.

It may be particularly useful for staff, volunteers and team members from charities, CICs, community groups, voluntary organisations and other organisations.

Places are limited and advance booking is required.
