Creative Kids Corner: Sew-Your-Own Soft Toy Workshop –  Monday 22nd December 2025

A warm, end-of-year creative experience not to be missed!

As we wrap up the year, Higher Ground is delighted to welcome families to a truly special Winter Break edition of Creative Kids Corner — and the final CKC workshop of 2025 .

This closing session invites young makers to slow down, get cosy, and craft something meaningful: a soft, hand-sewn stuffed toy they’ll proudly bring home. With gentle, step-by-step guidance from Jameel Sewing , children will explore simple sewing techniques, experiment with texture and shape, and enjoy the satisfaction of creating something entirely their own.

We’re also delighted to share that Brother Abdul Ghani returns — back by popular demand — to lead a calming, heartwarming Storytime. His storytelling brings a peaceful, uplifting moment to each session that children truly cherish.

Two sessions — choose the format that suits your child best:

About Jameel Sewing

Jameel Sewing is a local textile instructor known for helping children build confidence through hands-on craft. All materials are provided — pre-cut fabric pieces, soft stuffing, child-safe needles, and simple stitch guides — making the workshop accessible and enjoyable for all abilities. Children will also bring home any materials needed to finish their toy at their own pace.
